Family Therapy

In family therapy sessions, we focus on family issues and increasing communication between members. These sessions prioritize the relationship with an attempt to increase bonds, and assist in meeting family goals. These sessions can be between certain members of the family, or a whole family unit.

Telehealth

To support clients during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have moved to mostly telehealth sessions for all clients. This includes seeing clients over video-conference at their scheduled time, and attempting to keep the integrity of our sessions. I encourage clients to have a private space where they can focus their energy solely on session, attempting to stay as close to the feeling of in-office sessions. 

Work Desk

Individual sessions are focused on the client goals. After assessing for needs, we collaboratively work on treatment goals to focus our sessions. These could vary depending on the reasons bringing you to treatment at this time, including problem solving current circumstances, learning new coping skills, processing past issues, identify career goals, and building self-awareness to make healthier decisions. This is a place for the individual to continue growing in the presence of an unconditional listener.

A Bit About Therapy

There are many issues that bring people to therapy- transitions, adjustments, depression, anxiety, divorce, heartbreak, loss, conflict, difficult behaviors etc. All these very human issues, test our natural ability to cope and how we view ourselves in the process.  Each one of us has a very particular perspective of what is expected of us, our goals, and values- which is affected during trying times. However, everyone has their own internal wisdom that will heal their past and current circumstances with some support and guidance. Couples Therapy

 Every couple has different reasons why they decide to seek counseling. Part of couples therapy is helping everyone understand their goals and needs. Couples therapy can be difficult as we discuss  sensitive topics, but therapy provides a safe space to explore everyone's perspective and feelings.
